An easy way to make purse straps is to set up the serger for a 4 thread overlock. Adjust the stitch length to between 2 and 3 or one or two numbers less that a normal 4 thread overlock stitch. Serge over a length of yarn and you will end up with a cute strap for an evening bag. If you feel adventurous, place a length of ribbon with the yarn and stitch over both at the same time. For an added treat use heavier decorative thread in the loopers. Give it a try and let me know how you like it???
